Zoho CRM Integration with Africa’s Talking SMS Gateway

While customizing Zoho CRM for Taylor Movers, I implemented an integration with Africa’s Talking SMS Gateway, which the company had been using in their legacy system. This integration allowed CRM users to send automated SMS notifications and run SMS campaigns directly from Zoho CRM.

Key contributions:

• Deal Notifications – When a new deal is created, an SMS is automatically sent to the assigned sales representative (optional override available).

• Survey Scheduling – When a survey is scheduled, the client receives an SMS containing the survey time and the name of the assigned sales rep.

• Facilitator Creation – Automatically sends an SMS notification to newly added facilitators.

• SMS Campaign Module – Added a dedicated module that allows users to send bulk SMS campaigns to selected contacts or facilitators.

• Seamless Integration – Ensured smooth operation within Zoho CRM, enabling non-technical users to send SMS without leaving the system.

This integration improved real-time communication, reduced missed client interactions, and gave Taylor Movers a cost-effective way to manage client outreach.
